E-DRUG: NIMESULIDE FOR CHILDREN

Nimesulide is being marketed in India by a no. of companies. I do not know
whether Scering is one of them as their Brand of Nimesulide (if available in
India) is not one of the top selling brands of the Drug. Companies selling
the Drug include Panacea, Albert David, Wave and Indoco - all Indian Cos.
This is possible in India because our Patent Laws don't recognise Product
Patents (this is to change soon) and hence Indian Cos. can market Drugs
which are Patent Protected, by taking out different process patents.

A liquid (suspension) form of the drug is being marketed by most of the Cos.
that are marketing the Drug. Contradindications don't mention anything about
use in children. From personal information I know that it is being widely
used in childre.
